KEI Industries today launched its CSR initiative under Jyoti series, “Suraksha Jyoti,” aimed at ensuring the safety and economic security of electricians across the country. Through this initiative, electricians will be encouraged to register for the E-Shram card, providing them with accident insurance and access to essential government welfare schemes. This initiative also highlights the long-term financial security provided by pension benefits through the E-Shram card, ensuring protection for electricians and their families.

To reinforce this commitment, she introduced the slogan, “Bright Future in Safe Hands.”

Around 265 electricians and members of the KEI family participated in the event, and over 200 electricians had their E-Shram cards created. During the program, a Nukkad Natak was conducted to raise awareness among all the electricians about the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana, the E-Shram card scheme, and old-age pension benefits.

During the event, several key members from the company were present, including Retail VP Mr. Ravi Sharma, HR VP Mr. D.S. Chaubey, National Marketing Communication Head Mr. Govind Sharma, along with the entire Delhi and Gurugram marketing team comprising Mr. Deepak Sharma, Mr. J.P. After the lamp lighting ceremony, Mr. Govind Sharma addressed all the electricians and provided detailed information about the CSR program. Mr. Ravi Sharma then encouraged all the electricians to prioritize safety in their work place.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Archana Gupta, Director of KEI Industries, said, “At KEI, our CSR initiatives under the ‘Jyoti’ series cover a wide range of vital areas for human development, including healthcare, hunger and poverty alleviation, education, environmental sustainability, and sports promotion. We believe in not only powering homes but also in empowering the lives of those who build them. Through our ‘Suraksha Jyoti’ initiative, we are dedicated to securing the future of electricians by supporting their financial and social well-being. Wishing everyone a safe, prosperous, and joyous Diwali!”

Through the “Suraksha Jyoti” initiative, KEI Industries aims to support electricians by facilitating their registration for the E-Shram card, which offers significant economic security. The key benefits include ₹2 lakh insurance coverage in case of accidental death or workplace incidents, ₹1 lakh insurance coverage for partial disability due to work-related accidents, and a monthly pension of ₹3,000 upon reaching the age of 60. In case of a beneficiary’s death, the benefits will be transferred to their spouse. KEI will play an active role in assisting electricians to access these government benefits, securing their future and providing protection for their families.

This initiative will reach electricians nationwide, offering them a 12-digit Universal Account Number (UAN) through the E-Shram card, which is valid across India and provides national recognition and access to government welfare schemes. Eligibility for the program includes all electricians working in the unorganized sector, with a monthly income of less than ₹15,000 and no existing PF or ESIC account.

The “Suraksha Jyoti” initiative by KEI Industries is focused on empowering electricians and workers in the unorganized sector throughout India by helping them access government schemes for enhanced safety and financial stability. The communication for this initiative will be inclusive, empathetic, and safety-focused, positioning KEI Industries as a guardian and enabler committed to ensuring the well-being of electricians across the nation.
