9 National Highway Projects inaugurated in Ahmedpur and Dharashiv, Maharashtra


Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, boosting roads and infrastructure for smooth and safe travel in the country, has announced 6 National Highway Projects at Ahmedpur, Maharashtra at a cost of Rs 3,946 crore and 3 National Highway Projects at Dharashiv worth Rs 122.9 crore. Highway projects inaugurated.

Latur district is famous for soybean production throughout the country. Good roads help in providing access to markets for agricultural produce. The projects launched today include 4-laning of Ausa-Chakur section on National Highway 361, 4-laning of Chakur-Loha section. This will promote and improve connectivity between two important regions of Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha. Along with this, the work of strengthening of Ashta Mode to Ashta and Tivatgyal to Malkapur section on National Highway 63 has also been completed. Through this route, traffic in this area will become easy and safe.

The projects for which the foundation stone has been laid today will make the travel of the people of Marathwada and Vidarbha easier and safer, thereby saving their time and fuel and will also help in reducing pollution. Through this, it will also be easy to reach Mahur Shaktipeeth, Nanded Gurudwara, Tuljabhavani Temple of Tuljapur.

In the same program today, the ground breaking ceremony of 3 National Highway projects in Dharashiv district was also organized through video conferencing. These projects will improve connectivity between Latur Road Junction and Sonegaon Junction. Dharashiv Bypass will reduce the traffic problem in the city and will make transportation of agricultural products easier, which will save fuel and time, make travel safe and reduce accidents.
